General Impression
Overall Rating:
/ 10I had an exceptional time in Nepal. I went to the school every day 11-3 to give lectures to students on oral hygiene. Then, I personally sat with each one & discussed their orals habits. I consulted & diagnosed them. I taught them the proper ways of brushing & prescribed them with an appropriate toothbrush/toothpaste/mouthwash. I was surprised to see that the kids could all speak English. Majority of them were very well behaved & attentive during my lectures. The coordinators at the volunteer house made me feel very comfortable. They are honestly very generous people. All of us including the rest of the volunteers had breakfast, lunch, dinner together & had great conversations at the dining table. The weather, however, wasn't in our favor. There was thundershowers quiet often by midday but we managed.
I had a great time getting along with the volunteers & touring the city. We drove to Kathmandu almost every day after school to see the famous temples & tourist attractions. And lastly, we drove to Nagarkot to catch a view of the sunset & Himalayas. It was beautiful as you can see in the pictures. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this trip & looking forward to exploring more with Love Volunteers!
