The program "Childcare & Development" located in Santa Barbara de Heredia was a very rewarding experience, where I learned a lot about different cultures and love in all forms. The volunteer house was so great and I had a lot of fun with the other volunteers. The kids at the program were very cute and I quickly cared for them, and I missed them when I left. Overall I had an amazing time, where I found out how good it feels to give some of your time and love, for those who need it.Country
If you could just use one word to describe Costa Rica - it would be heartwarming people. All the persons I met were incredible and friendly, and always wanted to help you. The country is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen, with white sands beaches and palm trees everywhere! Incredible nature and lovely people!
Project & Staff
The project was very well planned I got to experience the everyday life of working with children. We also went to San Jose for a day trip, where I learned a lot about planning and paying attention. The staff was very sweet and welcoming - always made you feel welcome.
Tips
Enjoy the experience and try to do as many things as possible. Have fun with the other volunteers and ask questions about everything you find interesting.
