“I’ve learnt a lot about wildlife”

General Impression

Overall Rating:    10 / 10

I’ve had such an amazing time here. Peter and Caroline are all about putting the animals first. I’ve learnt alot about wildlife in my one week here and I wish that I could’ve stayed for another.
The farm is filled with both farm animals as well as a ton of rescued Kangaroos, Wombats and Wallabies.

The experiences and skills learnt here are irreplaceable, and I highly recommend animal lovers to come here.

You must be physically fit and be okay with poop ;) Cuddling and bottle feeding joeys are the most enjoyable part of the job!

Country

Australia’s winter was a really cold one, it is advisable to bring a thick jacket, pants and socks if you are coming during winter.
The people here are all lovely

Project & Staff

Peter and Caroline couldn’t have been more amazing hosts. Caroline has been rescuing wildlife for 40 over years, she has immense experience in raising rescued joeys with her husband Peter. Both of them are really kind and enjoyable to live with, it felt like a home even on my first evening there. It gets quite tiring and busy for them so I would urge volunteers to help out if you can. They really are lovely people with a big heart for animals.

Thank you to them both for giving me such a fruitful experience and leaving me with knowledge of raising wildlife. I can’t wait to come back again!
