Beautiful setting in the foothills of the Himalayas. Serene, quiet and peaceful.Country
After leaving the hustle and bustle of Delhi, this area seems especially calm. Rural setting, many small towns nearby by. Fun to explore.
Many of the people in nearby towns haven't had a lot of interaction with "foreigners" and are very curious and eager to take pictures and talk.

Project & Staff
The volunteer accommodations are very nice. Large, clean rooms with big picture windows to see all the surrounding beauty. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Also, 3 homecooked meals per day provided. Delicious and vegetarian! My volunteer placement was at a school for special needs kids. Nice project, kind staff, well behaved kids.
Tips
Pack some warm clothes, you're in the shadow of the Himalayas. No nightlife around here! Pack some books and games for the evenings.
