I had an absolutely amazing time volunteering. I learned so much during my time there, more than I ever could have imagined. The local NGO was absolutely amazing, they do such a good job of making you feel welcome, allowing you to be a part of the culture, and letting you feel as though you are truly Kenyan!Being there for 8 weeks (actually 10, but 2 weeks was spent traveling and visiting friends) was something I particularly liked, because I really got a taste of the true Kenyan lifestyle, and also got to know quite a lot of swahili as well.
So, just a Thank You to you guys for doing such an awesome job in connecting with them, and allowing me to feel ready for the trip.
