/ 10This was my first time traveling to a developing country, so at first there was a bit of culture shock. I adjusted quickly and enjoyed everything the village of Shanzu had to offer. The family I stayed with as very hospitable and friendly. The meals were out of this world!I spent most of my time at Barnabas Children's Center. What a great experience it was. The staff is amazing along with the kids. What you want to do is really up to you. I taught classes, observed classes, played games with the kids and even helped the kitchen crew.
I was so inspired by the spirit of these people that I funded a water line project that brought running water to the facility! It was a very happy moment for me to see!
