Brcko is a great place to do a voluntary service placement. There are lots of possibilities to implement your personal project, create your own workshops, and meet new people.Country
Bosnia is a beautiful and very safe country. Despite what you may think, people are generally very friendly and helpful. There are some obvious political problems in the country, there are still a lot of signs of the war, and transport takes a long time. However, you will get used to this very quickly and start to appreciate the country, the people, and of course the food!
Project & Staff
The local project staff are always very helpful and friendly. They made me feel at home from the first day, and were always available for help whenever I needed it.
Tips
If you are into creativity, art, and music, then this project is the place for you. Bosnian culture is very welcoming and the food is great. Even if you do not have any experience working with children, the local project staff will help you out.
